GOLF CLUB'S LOSS.
GISBOH.NE PAVILION BURNED. VALUABLE GEAR DESTROYED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) GISBORNE, this day. The Gisborne Golf Club's pavilion and professional's quarters were- destroyed by fire last night, and over one hundred sets of clubs were burnt. The professional, Mr. McCormick, ioses a good deal of gear. The club carried an insurance policy of £530 on the 'building, and £SOO on members' effects, but the loss is considerably above these amounts.
