LOAN FOR ONEHUNGA.
The number of votes recorded yesterday at a poll of Onehunga ratepayers on a proposal by the borough council to borrow £2000 was the Smallest' on record. Only 186 persons voted at the four booths out of 3000 ratepayers, and their wives, who were entitled to do so. However, .the loau was sanctioned by a majority of 64 votes., there being 125 for the proposal and 61 against. ' There were no informal votes.
I The loan is required by the council installing drainage and plumbing connections to properties in any part of the borough requiring the same. Royal Oak Hall: For "0 against, 17. ' " '
