PREFERENCE FOR NEW ZEALANDERS.
(To the Editor.) Sir,—lf "Auckland Bred and Born" had travelled a little farther than this beautiful city he claims as his birth place he would be a bit broader minded and foe in a position where he would not have time to go into shop 3, offices, etc., listening for accents other than, colonial. People from the British. Isles are employed on their merit, not preference. Let him go a little farther and think about the millions from the Old Country sunk in this dear little place, io open out and advance andiind employment for the working people. Let those narrowminded people remember this country is run on British capital, worked -for by the Home people, who have as much right licre as any one born in the country.— I am, etc., FOUR YEARS HERE.
