Th time would come when they must appoint a paid agent. j P ! Eev. E. Jeffreys stated that it looked j 8 as if the Salvation Army was' the State j church, at its officers were the only ty church representatives allowed on board j ° before steamers reached the wharves. A deliverance was adopted urging on '' Home churches to notify the arrival of . their members in New Zealand.
