DROWNING AT WHAKATANE.
' BODY m THE RIVER. (By Telegraph.-Press AssoelaHon.l WHAKATAXE, this day. The dead body of a man believed to be a farm manager, named McDonald of Tamarakau, was found in the Whakatane River yesterday. The body was first observed by Maoris as it floated down stream. It is understood that Mr. McDonald came to town last Saturday. Hβ ha* not been seen since.
