BUTTER PRICES.
REDUCTION TO-MORROW. i DOWN TWOPENCE PER LB. • As indicated in last night's "Star" the various factories supplying butter to the local market have agreed to lower their prices from to-morrow. An easier London market allows for a revision in prices of factory butter and the various factories have advised the trade that they intend reducing their prices of all grades of pat butter twopence per pound from to-morrow morning. The new wholesale rates are as follows: Anchor (superfine quality), \/Si per lb; Opotiki (superfine quality), 1/8J per lb; Acorn (first grade), l/7_per lb; Daffodil (second grade), 1/6J per lb. The above prices are all less one halfpenny per lb for prompt cash, with the exception of Anchor, off which threefarthings per lb is allowed. The revised retail rates will be: Superfine quality, 1/10 per lb; first grade, 1/9 per lb; Daffodil, 1/8 per lb.
