ROHIBITION V. CONTINUANCE.
A public debate took place last night it the Town Hall between Mr. O. E. Jurton and Mr. H. Scott Bennett on ;he Prohibition issue. Mr. E. C. Cutten, I 3.M., was chairman. The building was iterally packed. Mr. Burton affirmed, That Prohibition is in the best interests if New Zealand," while Mr. Bennett ook the opposite side of the question, fhe chairman had on several occasions o appeal for a fair hearing to the ii speakers. n I
