HOTELS CLOSE AT NOON.
SHOPS AT ONE O'CLOCK. OPPORTUNITIES TO VOTE. EMPLOYEES GET TIME OFF. In connection with the poll to-morrow, all hotels are compelled by law to close at noon. All shops employing labour must close at 1 p.m. Proprietors of factories must allow time off to their employees in order to enable them to vote, though the period granted need not exceed one hour.

SOME COUNTRY' BOOTHS CLOSE AT t> p.m. In Auckland and other cities, the poll will open at 9 a.m. to-morrow and close at 7 p.m. In a number of country electorates, however, the poll will close at 0 p.m. Those closing at this hour will be:—Ashburton, Awarua, Clutha, Ts«i--mont, Ellesmore, Gisborne, Hawke's Bay, Hurunui, Kaiapoi, Manawatu, Masterton, Mataura, Orouft, Otaki. Pahiatua, Patea, Rangitikei, Stratford, Taninaki, Temuka, Waipawa, Wa:rftrapa, Wairau, Wakatipn, Wallace, Bay of Islands, Bay of Plenty, Franklin,* Kaipara, Marsden, Ohinemuri, Raylan, Rotorua, Tauranga, Waiknto, Waimnrino and Waitomo. ELECTION RESULTS. DISPLAY BY « STAR/ Complete arrangements have been made by "The Auckland Star" to display election results as soon as they nre available to-morrow evening. The Fort Street face of the building will be used for the purpose, and from any point in Commerce Street the public will be able to learn the progress of both Parliamentary and licensing polls. The public are earnestly requested to refrain from ringing up the office during the evening as all telephones will be engaged in providing the latest information with the least possible delay.
