THE UNEMPLOYED.
The unemployed on the waiting list at the office of the Labour Department is just about the same as last week, the total to-day being 182, of whom 150 are classed as fit for heavy and 32 for light work. Labourers number 55, cooks and hotel workers 18, motor drivers 13, fitters, and turners 13, these being the.ones to reach double figures. During .the week the Department found 'private employment for 13, labourers, four gardeners, four farmhands, two bushmen, a porter,'handyman, motor-driver, and factory a total of 27.' ._.
