A FICKLE WIFE.
Despondence caused by the belief that his wife had deserted blm and their 15 months' old daughter to go to tbe "other man" led Charles J. Stratton (35), a locomotive engineer, of Chicago, to hang himself. Mrs. Stratton , recently visited ber parents. Mr. and Mrs. James Hamilton, at Eldon, Mo. After a month's stay she returned to Chicago a changed woman, Indifferent to her husband and even to the baby. . Finally she confessed to her husband an Infatuation for Charles Hunter, of Eldon. Mrs. Stratton took the baby and a suit", case to Ned Stratton|s home at 1010,' Winona Avenue. She asked permission to leave both until she returned. She didn't come back. When the husband opened the ■ult case It contained all Betty Jane'i clothing and a note saying :_• "Peg£.«£bfrye; I paid the Vent "and the mllkwaa. Am going *■**?* My heart it la mfou." (
