OHINEMURI ELECTORATE.
I (From Our CHvn Correspondent.) MORREsSVILE, Friday. Both Messrs. H. Poland, M.P. and his opponent, Mr. A. M. Samuel, have been' busy at this end of the Ohinemuri electorate, and both have had attentive meet-j ings, the farming community appearing to°nnd it a better policy to weigh the merits and demerits of the respective candidates by silent contemplation, rather than by noisy outbursts, as are ! often found in the larger centres.
MR. ft POLAND.
At Tahuna, and Mangafepau, Mr. ■ Poland received voies of tl • '•cs, while at Tatuanui and Motumaohu, -dr. Samuel received unanimous votes of thanks and confidence in the Reform administration. Mr. Samuel will shortly be address-1 ing three meetings a day. j
