OBITUARY.
MR. FRANCIS E. BUCKLEY. Francis Edward Buckley, accidentally shot in Ills beautiful garden at Papatoetoe, was carried to his last rest at Purewa on Wednesday. Deceased was a man' of great physical strength with a genial- charm of manner. He lived for his home and his garden, and his great baritone voice—tuneful as only a Yorkshireman's can be —often filled his home and his acre of wonderful garden. He belonged to no clubs, but his friends had a very deep and loving regard for him. He was a ledger-keeper in the employ of John Burns and Co., and his books were wonderfully kept. He had evidently made a warm place in the regard of his employers, who were strongly represented at the funeral, in spite ofthe blinding rain. A big, quiet, genial man Mr. Buckley will be greatly missed by a large circle of business associates and friends in Papatoetoe and district.
