Put a piece of camphor ice away with the silver which ha 9 been polished and it will not tarnish. Cucumbers should always be crisp when eaten. To keep them fresh, put r-s; stalk end in water, as you would with a flower. To Improve Fried Sausages.—Have you ever tried boiling sausages before frying? If you allow them to simmer for ten minutes, they not only look larger, but are very much nicer than when only fried. Linoleum that has been stored for some time. is. apt to become hard and brittle. Old linoleum can be unrolled without the danger of cracking if it ie placed in front of a fire for a few hours. To preserve eggs pour six quarts of boiling water on three pounds of lime, one ounce of cream of tartar, and half a pound of salt. When quite cold, pour this over the fresh eggs, which are carefully arranged in jars, and see that there are none uncovered.
