(To the Editor.) : Sir, —In his speech at Riverton recently the Prime Minister stated that the revenue from telephones for the. five months ended August 31, 1925, had increased, as compared with the five . months for the similar period last year, • by £25.896, equivalent to an increase of j 6.9 per cent. It is quite time that the j charge of £15 per year for business telephones was reduced to its original figure of £7 10/, or that the Telephone Department explained the reason for the extravagant charge of £15 a year.— I am, etc., A BUSINESS MAN.
