GOLD MINERS' WAGES.
COMPANY OFFER ACCEPTED. INCREASE AT WAIHI. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WAIHI, this day. A ballot was taken yesterday by the Wailu Miners' Union on the Waihi G.iL Company's offer of an increase of fourpence per shift to all wage-workers in its employ, subject to the union entering into a new industrial agreement operating till December 31, 192 G. The voting favoured acceptance by a majority of 42, the votes cast being 207 for and IGS against. They represent about half the membership of the union.
