PROPOSED LOAN OF £650,000 FOR ELECTRICAL DEVELOPMENT WITHIN THE AUCKLAND ELECTRIC POWER DISTRICT. Tlie Auckland Electric Power Board hereby gives notice, in pursuance of Section 9 of the above mentioned Act:— 1. That the several purposes for which the loan is required are 'as follows: (a) Machinery, Equipment and work necessary to convert the system from steam to hydro-electric power. (b) The general extension of the reticulation system in the Auckland Electric Power District, including any necessary additions to Sub-sta-tions, Machinery and Mains. 2. That the Auckland Electric Power Board, being unable to provide the necessary funds for such purposes out of its ordinary revenue, proposes ro borrow sums as follows: — (a) For Water Power Conversion, , £250,000. . (b) For General Extension Purposes, £400,000. 3. That the proposed security for the repayment of such loan shall be a special rate of two-sevenths of a penny In the pound on all ratable property iv the Auckland' Electric Power District. 4. That the Auckland Electric Power Board proposes to make such loan repayable in twenty-one (21) years, 'and proposes to make provision for the payment of a Sinking Fund of not les sthan Two Pounds Ten Shillings (£ 2 10/) per centum per annum. 5. That the Auckland Electric Power Board proposes to pay out of such loan, such costs, charges and expenses as the Auckland Electric Power Board may determine to have been actually incurred in connection with such loan, and the Interest and Sinking Fund thereon for the first year. / N.
