THE WESTERN WHARF.
The engineer to the Auckland Harbour Board,-yesterday reported that the construction of the "two stiffening dolphins in the damaged portion of the Western wharf was completed, and that the whole length of the wharf could now be opened for shipping. Minor repairs, which were all low tide work, would be better left until the reconstruction and lengthening of the wharf was undertaken, when they could be earned out more economically, the engineer recommended.
