AUCKLAND PRESBYTERY.

The ordinary meeting of the Auckland Presbytery was held yesterday afternoon and evening, the Rev. H. L. Hunt, moderator, presiding The Rev. W. Gray Dixon, formerly minister of St. David's Church, was appointed to the care of St. Helier's and Kohimarama for the ensuing 6ix months.

The following statistics of the district under the charge of the Auckland Presbytery were quoted: Numbers under pastoral ' care, 20,800; attendance, 12,01S; membership, 6597; additions by examination, 512; debt on property, £30,119; raised for debt, etc., £14,205; raised for missions, £5498, or 16/7 per member.

Mr. H. Halley, M.A., having satisfactorily passed tlie tests, was licensed.

On the motion of the Rev. G. Budd, a resolution was passed expressing appreciation of the work accomplished by the Key. W. Elliott, M.A., and Mrs. Elliott, at Kaitaia.
