The New Zealand golf tournament wa« j continued this morning under ideal conditions, the semi-finals of the profesi Sional tournament being played. j At the end of the morning round of J eighteen holes Moss was two un on i Mcintosh. The standard of play '• throughout was fairly hish, but | Mcintosh was careless on the putting j greens.. j Shaw finished the morning two up on j Blair. The driving was splend:d I throughout but Shsw was generally ; more accurate. Tbe morning rounds i were: Moss. TO; Mcintosh 77: Blair. 1 78": Shaw. 75. In the first eighteen holes Moss wen 'the first two and Mcintosh the third, in ! four. The fourth and fifth were halved. ! Careless putting by Mcintosh at tilt ' sixth saw Moss 2 np. Moss won the ! seventh, hut dropped "Land's End-" McJlntosh winning in five. Mcintosh took ! the ninth, but Moss did the tenth in four. I making kite 2 up. Mcintosh played an*- ! golf at "Nor"-West." and thoroughly ! deserved the hole in three. The twelfth 'was won hy Mcintosh, and the game «• aU square. "The Crossways" was halved 'in three, bat Moss moved into the lea a ' again br taking the fourteenth in four. ' The next was halved, and Moss won | "The Pines" with a splendid three. ! making Vm 2 up. The remaining two 'holes "of the round were halved- anc !Moss finished with an advantage of j two. ! In the Blair v. Shaw match. Shaw wot. ! the first in two. the second in six. th" I third in three, and the fourth in three 'Blair, after finding a bunker, won the I fifth. The sixth was halved in four. ! Blair won the seventh, the eighth wa' 'halved in five, and the ninth and also 1 the tenth halved in four. The eleventh '■was played perfectly and halved In four. | Blair took the twelfth and the thirI teentit. The fourteenth was halved in 1 five. Shaw got 2 up by winning tbe ; fifteenth, while the sixteenth was halved lin four. Shaw won tbe seventeenth and I Blair the eighteenth, leaving Shaw 2 tip.
