SECURITY PACT.
GEBS IAIOTS ACCEPTANCE. THE EVACUATION ISSUE. LONDON, September 30. It is officially stated that Germany's Note of ; icceptance of the Allied invitation to c onfer at Locarno was simultaneously ] mblished in Paris and London. It expresses a desire not to protract the negotiations of the security pact. It suggests' meeting on October 5.
- The German Ambassadors at the same time handed the respective Governments a memorandum, which at present is not to be published. Mr. Chamberlain expresses satisfaction at Geimany's nnreseni'd acceptance of the invitation, and resl rding the memorandum states that Bril am notes with satisafction Gcrmanv raises no objection to her entry into the 3league as an essential condition of any n mtual pact, and adds that tbe question of Germany's responsibility for the war is not raised by the proposed pact. Biitain is at a loss to know why Germany thought proper to raise the question at this moment.
