CONDENSED CORRESPONDENCE.

"Taxpayer"' wants to know when the footpaths dug tip by the Auckland Power Board, both sides of Balmoral Road, near Mt. Eden Boad, are likely to be put in order. It is now many months since the work was finished. Perhaps the Mt. Eden Borough Council is to blame. "Just Interested" is alarmed by the number of deaf people. Most of those whom he questions reply that the cause is catarrh, and say that nothing has given relief. "Just Interested" thinks that the doctors would be better occupied finding a cure for catarrh than in some of their other reported activities. One or two correspondents strongly support flogging as a punishment for sexual crime. Another supports the objections to it.
