EFFORTS AT STIMULATION. LONDON, September 4. The Jamaica Chamber of Commerce has presented a novel scheme to the Associated British Chambers for the), resuscitation of Britain's trade. The idea is to offer the Dominions and , the colonies an award of, say, 10 per cent qn the total increase in the value of British goods that they import annually. The Dominion or colony receiving the award would distribute it to tbe benefit of the community. The. method of the expenditure would include the construction of public, works, in which British materials would be used. The scheme is being submitted to the Chambers of Commerce in Britain for consideration. — (A. and N.Z. Cable.-}
