PROGRESS OF BILLS. (By Telegraph.—'Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Friday. In the Legislative Council this afternoon the Land for Settlements Bill was reported from the Lands Committee without amendment. The Statutes Revision Committee reported the Weights and Measures Bill with", minor amendments. The Dunedin District Drainage and Sewage Amendment Bill, • Mana-watu-Oroua River District Amendment Bill and the Auckland Harbour Board Empowering Bill were received' from the House of Representatives, read a first time, and referred to the Local Bills Committee. The Land and Income Tax Amendment Bill was received from the House and read a first time. The Nurses and Widwlves Registration Bill was put through its final stages' <and passed.without further amendment. The National Provident Fund Amendment Bill and Electric Power Boards Bin were read a second time and-referred to the Statutes Revision Committee.
