OLD POST OFFICE.
COUNCIL OFFERS £100,000.
The sum of £100.000 is to be offered to the Government for the old post office site, fronting Shortland and Fort Streets. In making this decision last night, the City Council acted on the recommendation of their solicitor.
Mr. John Alexander, barrister, of Auckland, has been appointed as the Crown's assessor in the Court to be constituted in respect of the claim for £212.935 compensation.
