MENACE TO HEALTH AND MORALS
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.)
HAMILTON, this day.
The inadequate housing conditions prevailing throughout New Zealand as a primary cause of present day immorality was discussed by the New Zealand Women's Conference in Hamilton yesterday. One speaker mentioned a certain case in which eleven people lived in one house of four small rooms, while she kpew of numerous other instances of this disgraceful condition of affairs.
A resolution was passed, "That the housing conditions especially in the big centres, were a direct menace to health and morality."
