NEW POLICE COMPANY.
NO LABOUR SIGNIFICANCE. LONDON, September 3. The "Eveninor Standard" states that the Secretary of State for War (Sir L. Worthine r ton-Evans) explains that the War Office has decided no longer to borrow the London police, but to have its own force of 200 men available to guard depots and stores.
This force, it is added, is hems openly enlisted and bears not the aliehtest relation to any -possible industrial trouble.— (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
