EXPORT OF COAL.
A GERMAN SUGGESTION. BRITISH OWNERS RELUCTANT. (Received 11 a.m.) LONDON, September 2. ■German advices show that Germany proposes an Anglo-German agreement to fix the minimum prices for export coal, limiting the quantities exported, and dividing the ■world's markete into two parts, thus avoiding Anglo-German competition. Government officials are conferring. It is understood that British exporters, despite German under-selling, are inclined to reject the scheme, considering that British coal ie the hest in the world, and that it can command sales under most unfavourable market conditions.-— (A. and N.Z..
