LAND BOARD.
MONTHLY MEETING. - The monthly meeting of the North -Auckland Land Board commenced yesterday, those present being: The Commissioner of Crown Lands. Mr. H. J. Lowe (chairman), and Messrs. H. Aitkonhead (Heleneville), A. Finlayeon ■:-CNyhangarei),;W,.T.-Hunt (Ruawai), and ;;<T. K. Wells <Okaihau). ; There arc about'the ueual number of applications for advances on current -account, postponements,-and consents to transfer. Several applications for land are to be considered, and a pleasing feature is that there is only one applica';.tion to surrender. The board will probably finish its sittings to-morrow afternoon.
