CROWDS WATCH FIRE.
SPECTATORS ON WATERFRONT. Aβ soon as the Kent berthed at the Queen's wharf, a large crowd of people gathered to watch the proceedings. In order to give the firemen a free hand in fighting the outbreak, barriers were rigged on the wharf and policemen placed on duty to keep the crowds back. From noon until two o'clock that portion of the Queers wharf not barricaded off and the western aide of the Central wharf were packed with spectators.
