PROTEST AGAINST TRANSFER.
THE RUAKURA FARM MANAGER. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, Thursday. Mr. Young (Hamilton) drew attention to'the transfer to Hawke's Bay'of Mr. Green, manager of Ruakura, which he described as the most important experimental and teaching farm in the Dominion. He said, the transfer had taken place despite protests from rural bodies, not only in the Waikato, but throughout the Auckland province. He urged the Minister of Agriculture, in the best interests of' the farming community, to reconsider his decision. Mr." Poland (Ohinemuri) expressed the great indignation of farmers in his electorate at the transfer, and also asked Ministerial reconsideration. Mr. Field (Otaki) also voiced a similar protest.
