WAR IN MOROCCO.

FOEMEN WORTHY OF FRENCH.

WHAT FETAIN SAYS.

PARIS, August 10. "The horizon is clearing," says General Petain in his report on his mission •to Morocco. General Petain describes events since »the first Riff attack. He speaks of the strong, skilful, bold, well-equipped, mobile, and frugal Rjffs, against whom only the remarkable tenacity and devotion of the Frencli troops held Fez and the Taza road to Algeria. The general emphasises that the interior of Morocco is still loyal to France. Combined action is now being prepared to drive out the enemy and to re-establish French authority.—Reuter.
