MIWE MANAGERS' REPORTS. New Waiotahi. —-The mine manarer reports that the intermediate drive to pick, up the reer which produced tne gold rrom the main level has been advanced 4rt Tor the week. The reer should be met wltn at any time now, as the race is within about lft or the estimated . distance. Smell Quartz stringer* are showing* in the face and the country is favourable for fold. The crosscut ror the Waiotahi-Cambria reef has been advanced sft for the week, making the total distance since re9uminr work in the crosscut. 53rt, leaving- 187 ft to reach the estimated course of the lode. The country in the race 13 easier shooting and. better progress should be made while this crass of rock continues. Rising- Sun.—The mine manager report":—.No. 3 leven south, IVo. 3 reef-: An extension of 5 feet was made for tht week. The lode remains about 15 inches wide. Intermediate level, IVo. 1 reer: The contractors have made a start at tfne point and have made .an extension ■or 4 reel The lode gives an average width of 12 wort , ! £< per ton. The ore broken ror the. week was about 26 tons. Battery: From 30th ult. to 3th inst., to stamps ran 24 hours, crushing- approximately 2* tons, worth £6 14/-2 per ton. From plates it-covered. !640z amalgam; from box hesdingrs and berdan recovered, 210oz; makinr a total of 3740z.
