THE WELLINGTON VISIT.

ARRIVAL TUESDAY MORNING.

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.)

WELLINGTON, this day

The Under-Secretary of Internal Affairs has received the following wireless message last evening from the flagship of the United States Fleet: "Admiral Coontz plans to lead the fleet into Port Nicholson at 11.30 on Tuesday morning." The weather to-day is showery and cold, but the Government meteorologist, while doubtful as to prospects for tomorrow, thinks there may be an improvement by midday, so that the arrival and berthing bf the American warships may be carried out under better weather conditions than prevail to-day. A serious cyclonic disturbance- off the East Coast of the South Island, however, makes forecasting difficult in the absence of information froni the westward.
