The conditions were perfect for training at Riccarton this morning. The track outside of the course proper was available for fast work, also the steeplechase fences, but these were not required, there beingno schooling save a little by hurdlers. Deucalion beat Kllfane In a seven furlongs gallop accomplished In 1.32 4-5.
Barn Owl beat Serotlna over four furlongrs in 50 S-SS.
Moorland ran seven furlongs In 1.33 3-5. Gold Town beat Volant over five furlongs In 1.3 2-5.
Tin" covered seven furlongs nicely In i.33. Football accompanying over the last half-mile.
Sun Up ran half a mile easily. Te Kawa ran nine furlong-3 in 1.6. Boadlcea and Wffikie's Best ran half a mile up the back In Ms. Tarleton galloped five rurlongs In 1.3 3-5.
Eerie beat Passin' Through and Tukl over a mile and a-quarter, covered In 1.23 2-5.
Serene Just beat Killocra, with Pompey three lengths away, at the end or seven furlongs, which occupied 1.83 i-S.
North Inch led Sporting Girl In a good display over rour "'hurdles. Muzzle followed them, but spoilt the effort by baulking at the second flight. Maunga Jumped six hurdles well.
Miss Minerva ran hair a mile in 51s. Musical beat Bretland over six rurlongs in 1.21.
Boughleen Dhoun and Apache took 1.21 over the last six of seven furlongs.
Tenterfleld and Captain Sarto ran "a mile in 1.51 2-5.
Vagabond did a working gallop or a mile.
Cheat beat Rapier over six furlongs In 1.18 3-5.
Maghera, Cassels and Frenchman had a working gallop of a mile and a-quarter, finishing together.
Sartlst beat Warhaven In a smart spin over Aye furlongs.
Tigeriand and Charlatan (together) were several lengths in front or Uncle Bob at the end of a mile and a-quarter, run in 2.21.
. En Route moved rreely In a working: gallop over six rurlongs. . Santiago ran a mile at a strong pace. Penury Rose did useful work over a mile.
