Miss Lucca" (McMuUen) was too good ror Castle Rock (Mills) over six hurdles, 1 the rormer finishing well In rront. They 5 did not give a raultless display, the rourjn , hurdle nearly causing both of them to come down. _ _ Kauri Park (Feilding) and Hafferty (E. Rao went over six nurdies. finishing- » together. Llewellyn (Chaplin), Kawlni (Thompson) and Ginger Karl (McMullen) went over the big rences, including the hill, and, . they finished as named. LleweUyn gave an impressive display, and Kawlni also went well. Stonewall (McMullen), Cvi Bono (Nixon), Bahadur (Mr. Brooks), Long Rein (E. Uae) and Pukehuia (E. Preston) set out on a similar schooling task. Stonewall and Cvi Bono appeared to get a break on the others at the start, and they led over the rences on the nat, after which. Bahadur was pulled on to the sand. Stonewall and Cvi Bono had a good break on Pukehuia over the hill, while Long Rein was a long way back. Cvi Bono and Stonewall were on terms at the first rente or the double, where Cvi Bono bit hard, i but recovered. Stonewall finished in front, with Cvi Bono weU ahead of Pukehuia, which easily beat Long Rein.
