OPPOSITION TO BILL. * (By Telegraph.—Press Assoclatw_j WELLINGTON, t3_s day. A protest against the principle unde*« lying Mr. L. M. Ifiitt's Religious Exercises Bill, now before Parliament was made by a deputation to the Prim* Minister to-day, which asked that _• departure should be allowed from t_» present secular system of education. Mr. Coates gave an assurance tba* every opportunity would be afforded for objection to be made against the bill before a committee of the House of Representatives.
