HOSPITAL CLERK'S THEFT.
FALSE SALARY VOUCHERS

CHRISTCHURCH, this day.
Thomas Alexander Mitchell (30), formerly a clerk in the employ of the Hospital Board, pleaded guilt}' this morning to charges of stealing moneys totalling £588, the property of the board, and was committed for sentence. The auditor stated that the amount involved was £1504. Accused had secured money by signing the names of ex-employees to salary vouchers.
