EXEMPLARY CONDUCT.

SYDNEY, August 4

The Inspector-General of Police has issued a statement in connection with the visit of the American fleet to Sydney recording the fact that there has been no trouble with the visitors. He adds that the conduct of all ranks has been exemplary. The Governor of Victoria, the Earl of Stradbroke, sailed for Hobart aboard the flagship of the division. — (A. and N.Z.)
