Public Notice is hereby given that, it a Special Meeting of the Mount Eden Borough , Council, held on the 20th day of July, 1925, the following Resolution wae passed:— " In pursuance of the powers conferred on it by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the Tramways Act, 1908, nnd of every other power in that • behalf enabling it, the Mount Eden Borough Council hereby resolves by way of Special Order as follows: Part XXVIII. of the Auckland City Oonncil by-law No. 1, made by the Auckland City Council on the Nineteenth day of May, 1925, is hereby confirmed.'' Notice is nlso given that, the said Resolution will be submitted to a Special Meeting of the said Council, to be held at the Council Chambers, Mount Eden, on the 24th day of August, 1925, for confirmation as a Special Order. ' In pursuance of the "provisions of Section 12 of -The Local Bodies Loans Act, J9J3," I hereby give notice that a Poll of the ratepayers of the Wainui Riding, of the County of Waitemata. vaa taken on the 29th day of July, 1925, on the proposal of the Waitemata County Council to borrow the sum of '£21.000, for the purpose of Road Construction and Bridge and Culvert Building, and Constructing and Metalling Roads in the Wainui Riding of the County. of Waitemata, and the Purchase of Plant in connection therewith. The number of votes recorded FOR the proposal was 177 : and the number of votes recorded AGAINST the proposal was 95; the number of votes recorded FOR the proposal being the necessary three-fifths required by Statute, I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
