Present quo tations for tops are: 04's, Merino, warp 4/O : 64's. Merino, average, 4/4 • 50's' super hnltbred, 2/9J ; OO's, halfbred,' 2/2J : 40's. prepared, coarse crossbred, 1/SJ. ' Oats.— Spot trmle better: c.i.f. market quiet. No. 2 Canadian Western sold recently at 20/6 per 3361b c.i.f. hut now offered at 1/ less, without business resulting. English unchanged, new crops winter nice colour and good quality. Best samples white have made 31/ to 32/, choice old crops 33/ to 34/, nominal values. Now Zealand "A" grade, August shipment, 31/ c.i.f. Teas. —Maple Partridge more acfivp Tasmanian sold 75/ to 80/, ex strirp. Now Zealand 07/ to 69/. Sellers firm. New Zealand Partridpe, August shipment, offered at 75/ : buyers' idea about 6S/. Blue pnas: Bptter demand for Japanese and Dutch. New crops of English marrowfar 23/ to 24/. Only best quality Tasmanian and New Zealand command attention, inferior sorts being unsaleable. A few parcels of N.Z. on spot offered at 67/ to 72/, ex store. Beans.—Market quiet for spot. Best English winter quoted at 44/(3 to 47/, spring 55/ to r>B/. Buyers scarce. Chinese horse, July-September shipments, sold at £10 r»/ c.i.f. Cocksfoot.—Danish new crops reported excellent, and very srood qunlity. Spot parcels offered at 73/, September-October shipments 6S/ c.i.f. Tallow. —Market steady, but spot demand quiet, fair business being done for shipment. Prices same as last quotations, except for mutton, fine 49/ to 49/6 per cwt. fair to good 46/ to 4S/6 per cwt. Apples.—Athenic, Raranga and Argylshire shipments ripened quickly, developing great waste. Market continues dull, and fair proportion unsold. Stunners selling 6/ to 10/. Early soft varieties very bad, and shipped much too late. Casein. —Present quotations are : Swiss rennet. £56 to £84 per ton: Argentine rennet. £46. Eggs.—Market quiet and steady. English. Irish, Danish, Dutch, Belgian, 14/ to 17/ per long 100 : French, Italian, 13/ to 14/6 per long 100; Lithuanian, Russian, Polish, 11/ to 13/6 per long 100.
