ROYAL AMBASSADORS.

A. AND N.Z. LUNCHEON. DtTKE OF YORK A GUEST. TRIBUTE TO PRINCE OF WALES .By Cable—Press Association.—Copyright.) (Received 10 a.m.) LONDON, July 10. The Duke and Duchess of York were guests of the Australian and New Zealand Luncheon Club at the Hotel Cecil. Lord Stonehaven, the new GovernorGeneral of the Commonwealth, and Mr. F. Ferguson, Premier of Ontario, were present. Sir Newton Moore proposed the health of the Duke and Duchess of York, and paid a tribute to the ambassadorial value of the work of the Prince of Wales in cementing the ties of Empire. Sir Newton Moore said that the people of Australia and New Zealand looked forward to the time when they would have an opportunity of welcoming the Duke and Duchess. The Duke of York in his reply, laughingly declared that his brother, the Prince of Wales, had an unfair advantage, because he greeted overseas visitors with a knowledge of them and their countries. » "My wife and I," he said, "by visits to Wembley, are trying to supplement our knowledge, but I am still acting the part of Cinderella, who told wonderful Stories of a world into which she was not permitted to enter. However, I entertain a hope yet to be privileged to enjoy Australia's and New Zealand's delightful hospitality.»'—(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
