A WISH.
I wlsli I were a tiny girl, No bigger than au eif, It is so inconvenient To have so big a self. I'd have a tiny, cosy bouse, Just by the garden wall, Ilalf hidden by the hollyhocks Xhat grow so big und tall. My maid would be a spider, With her spinning wneel and loom, And weave ray summer curtains In her little sewing room. She'd be the greatest boon to mc, So handy and so small, And open wide my wee front door When fairies came 10 call. But if a daddy-long-legs came, Or any ugly gnome, She'd open it a chink, and say, "lac lady's not at home.' .
