NEW ZEALAND BUTTER.
FILLIP IN ENGLAND. A STRIKE IN DENMARK. LONDON, June 9. The fact that the prolonged strike of Danish transporters has cut off Danish dairy supplies to England, has given an involuntary fillip to the campaign in favour of the consumption of Empire products. New Zealand and Australian butter supplies, which are arriving in increased quantities, are fully filling housewives' needs. A prominent dairyman expressed the opinion yesterday that the only effect of the strike in Denmark will be that Midlanders will be compelled to forego their unexplained passion for Danish butter and buy the colonial article.
It is noteworthy that only New Zealand butter and eees are being served at the Empire Exhibition. — (A. and N.Z. and Reuter.)
