Dean, chairman of the Management Committee of the Xew Zealand Rugby I'nion, is at the Grand Hotel. Professor MacMillan Brown leaves Auckland on Tuesday for Honolulu. He is writing a book on the Polynesian languages. Hotel Cargen guests include Mr. and Mrs. 11. C. Casper (Xew York). Mr and Mrs. 11. E. P. Bracey (Litligow. N.S.W.). and Mr. and Mrs. S. Douglas (Christchui-ch). Captain Hatfield, marine superintendent of tlie Canadian Government Mercantile Marine. Sydney, arrived in Auckland to-day by the Niagara. He will make a 'business trip through tlie Dominion. Mrs. Hatfield and their son are proceeding to Vancouver. Mr. C. X". Croft, acting Canadian Trade Commissioner in Auckland, left last evening for Wellington to meet Mr. I). H. Koss, Australian Canadian Trade Commissioner, who has been on a visit to Canada for the purpose of negotiating a trade treaty between his Government and that of Australia. Sir Hugh Keeling, representative of the Indian Government, who has been supervisor of the building operations of the new Government headquarters at Delhi, arrived in Auckland by the Xiagara this morning, on furlough. He is accompanied by Lady Keeling. They are at the Grand Hotel.
