DUTY ON RADIUM.

REFUND MAY BE MADE. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. An Orde.r-in-Couneil is gazetted exempting radium and similar elements from primage duty. Wellington Hos-pital-Board recently had to pay £100 duty on a. supply of radium for which the public subscribed £10,0n0, and the Government subsidised this to the extent of £5100. A rebate can now be claimed by the board.
