THE CIVIC SQUARE.
SALVATION ARMY'S REQUEST. Various and many were the suggestions for utilising the site for the proposed Civic Square. A new one was mentioned at the meeting of the f :ty Council last even : ng, when the Salvation Army asked the council for permission to use the Civic Square site, just on the corner of Wellesley and Queen Streets, for religious services. The matter was referred to the Parks Committee.
