RIVAL ACTRESSES.
CLAIM AGAINST PRODUCER. NEW YORK, May 14. The controversy between Princess Matchabelli and Lady Diana Manners as to who should play the role of the Madonna in the production of "The Miracle" last year, is described by tho Princess' attorneys as a publicity stunt. The Princess says the stories have greatly damaged her reputation, and asks for .300.000 dollars (about £100,000) damages, in an action against Morris (jest., the theatrical producer. The Princess and Lady Manners played the role alternately until the Princess resigned from the cast.
