NEW SOUTH "WALES AREAS. CONSIDERABLE DAMAGE DONE. SYDNEY, .May 12. The flooded rivers in New South Wales have now mostly subsided. The Ilnwkesbitry Kiver rose .'lift, and the consequent flood submerged a wide stretch of the low lands. The residents were removed to safety. Both along the Hawkesbury and Shoalhaven llivers heavy damage has been done to the unharvested maize crops. There have also been considerable losses in live-stock, as well as damage to pro-perty.—-(A. and N.Z. table.)
