WELCOMED IN CAPETOWN. DEMONSTRATIVE ENTHUSIASM. CAPETOWN", May 1. Capetown crowds are not noted for demonstrative enthusiasm, but it is generally admitted that the welcome jjiven to the Prince far surpasses anything previously experienced. The illuminations | nre on a scale hitherto unknown. The principal streets are a dense mass nf| Kuropeans, natives and Indians, mingling! in common enthusiasm. ! It was remarked during the morning! that the Prince's famous smile was not so much in evidence as usual, but his demeanour and affability generally made the happiest impression.
