( The following official bulletin was issued nt noon to-day concerning the Premier's illness: — "Tho Prime Minister passed a somewhat restless night. The patient's condition shows no improvement." PROTESTANT ALLIANCE. RESOLUTION OF SYMPATHY. (By Te;egraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, Tuesday. At the annual conference of the New Zealand Grand Council of the Protestant Alliance Friendly Society of Australasia, which opened in the Returned Soldiers' Clubrooms to-day, tho following resoution was carried in silence: "This New Zealand Grand Council of the Protestant Alliance Friendly Society of Australasia, in conference assembled, desides to express its deep sympathy with the Prime Minister in his severe illness, and prays that he may be restored to health to continue his services to his King and to the Empire." At tho meeting of the Auckland Presbytery last night, the action of the clerk was confirmed in forwarding a telegram of sympathy to the Right Hon. W. F. Massey in his illness, and the following resolution was adopted:— "That the Presbytery of Auckland express its deepest sympathy ' with the Rt. Hon. W. F. Massey, Prime Minister, in his serious illness, and assures him, MrsMassey, and family of the earnest prayers of the Church, that he may be delivered from pain, and be sustained by God's grace in his present trial," A resolution of sympathy with the Prime Minister was passed at last evening's meeting of the provincial executive of the Farmers' Union. The Auckland Harbour Board, at its meeting yesterday received a letter from the private secretary to the Prime Minister, thanking the board for its message of sympathy in connection with the illness of Mr. Massey.
